Flow Free 5.6

Can you connect the dots?

Flow Free is not about free flowing. I initially thought it to be some sort of Pipe Dream (I'm not sure whether the pun was intended). There is no time pressure in Flow Free though. A level consists of a square grid of varying size in which colored dots lay scattered about. They all come in pairs, and your job is to connect them.

The difficulty levels vary, depending on the size of the matrix and the number of colors to match. Some color heavy levels can give the wrong impression by actually having one or two colors having very clear connection paths. But not every level is like that. The more you advance, generally the harder it gets. I'd also mention that you don't only need to create the connections. Filling each square is also a priority. This is automatically resolved in smaller levels. Bigger ones though, can derive difficulty from having few colors but a lot of space to fill efficiently.

Although clever, Flow Free would have risked being boring, since the artwork is always the same (read: nonexistent) and the dots look like they've been stolen from a train station's walls. It escapes being boring however, by having level packs instead of stages. You can start playing with almost any pack. Some let you play any level, others only allow a standard progression. The two Extreme packs can only be accessed by having finished other packs first, so there is some variety in the way levels are presented. There is also a Daily Puzzles pack. Here you will try to finish a streak of five puzzles each day.

Flow Free

Flow Free can offer a lot of hours of puzzly enjoyment. It can replace Sudoku easily as it has more varied challenges than the classic pen & paper puzzle.
